Inexpensive Box Fan - Filter for Smoke for Improving Indoor Air Quality

If you’re experiencing smoke in your home and would like to try an inexpensive way to clean some of it out, try using a box fan with a furnace filter attached as explained here: https://www.montanawildfiresmoke.org/diy-fan-filter.html

Important: Please read the safety considerations on the linked page, and do not leave your fan running unattended or overnight while sleeping ESPECIALLY if you have a this device - fan made before 2012 (more than 8 years old) as the motor can lock up under load and overheat. And keep all loose clothing and curtains away from the fan.
